These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Karmas mobile application, website, services, and features (collectively, the “Karmas”). By using the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Karmas mobile application, website, services, and features (collectively, the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. About Karmas
Karmas combines social connectivity with community-driven action. Users can:
- Post and share social content (text, images, videos)
- Request or offer help to the community
- Collaborate with verified NGOs
- Earn points for socially beneficial actions
- Build a profile that showcases impact and interaction
Karmas encourages responsible social networking built around trust, action, and compassion.
2. Acceptance of Terms
- Have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- Are legally eligible to enter into a binding agreement under applicable laws.
If you do not agree to any part of the Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years of age.
- If you are under 18, use must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
- NGOs and organizations must submit verifiable legal documentation.
4. Account Registration & Security
- You must register using accurate personal information.
- You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities under your account.
5. Features of the Platform
a. Social Media Functions
- Post images, text, or videos
- Follow/friend other users
- Like, comment, and share posts
- Report harmful content
b. Social Impact Functions
- Create and respond to help requests
- Track your social actions and history
- Collaborate with verified NGOs
- Receive updates on community efforts
c. Reward System
- Earn points for verified contributions
- Redeem points for vouchers or recognition
- Points cannot be converted to real money
6. Code of Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post harmful or offensive content
- Harass, bully, or stalk users
- Spread misinformation or hate speech
- Exploit the platform for illegal activity
- Spam or manipulate the reward system
7. NGO & Community Verification
- Verified NGOs only
- Requests reviewed for authenticity
- Misuse results in suspension
8. Content Ownership & Usage
- You retain ownership of content uploaded
- You grant Karmas usage rights for promotion and moderation
- Content violating policies can be removed
9. Data and Privacy
Karmas collects user data for operation, analytics, and security. Your data is protected and never sold to third parties.
10. Termination and Suspension
We may terminate accounts for policy violation or fraud.
11. Limitations & Disclaimers
Karmas is not responsible for interactions or outcomes between users and NGOs.
12. Changes to Platform
We may modify features. Continued use means acceptance.
13. Third-Party Links & Services
Karmas is not responsible for third-party websites.
14. Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) Policy
Karmas strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form.
- Users must not post, upload, share, store, or link to CSAE material.
- Accounts involved in CSAE content will be permanently suspended without notice.
- Content violating this policy will be removed immediately.
- We cooperate with law enforcement and report CSAE incidents where legally required.
- Users can report suspicious or harmful content through in-app reporting or by emailing support@karmasapp.in

Subject to Indian law with jurisdiction in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

NGO Portal – Terms & Conditions
These Terms apply specifically to Non-Governmental Organizations (“NGOs”, “You”, “Your”) registered on the Karmas NGO Portal. By registering or accessing the Platform, you agree to comply with the following terms in addition to the general Karmas Terms & Conditions.
1. Eligibility & Registration
Only legally registered NGOs, Trusts, Societies, or Non-Profit Organizations are eligible to register on the Platform.
- NGOs must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
- Valid registration details and supporting documents must be submitted.
- Karmas reserves the right to verify, approve, reject, suspend, or revoke NGO registration at its sole discretion.
2. NGO Account & Responsibilities
- Each NGO is responsible for all activities conducted through its account.
- Login credentials must be kept confidential and secure.
- NGOs must immediately notify Karmas of any unauthorized access or suspected security breach.
- Karmas is not responsible for losses arising due to negligence in safeguarding account credentials.
3. Platform Usage Guidelines
NGOs may use the Platform to:
- View, accept, or reject user requests
- Communicate request status updates
- Receive donations through integrated third-party payment gateways (if enabled)
NGOs must not:
- Provide false, misleading, or fabricated information
- Misuse donations or funds received
- Engage in unlawful, unethical, or political activities
- Harass, abuse, or exploit users or donors
4. Requests Management
- NGOs must evaluate requests honestly and responsibly.
- Acceptance or rejection must be based on NGO capacity and mission alignment.
- Karmas does not influence, control, or guarantee request outcomes.
5. Donations & Financial Responsibility
Donations made through Karmas are processed via third-party payment gateways and transferred directly to the NGO’s designated bank account.
- Karmas does not hold, manage, or distribute funds.
- NGOs are solely responsible for utilization of funds.
- NGOs must maintain financial transparency and legal compliance.
- NGOs are responsible for issuing receipts or acknowledgements where applicable.
- Any dispute related to donations shall be resolved directly between the donor and the NGO.
6. Verification & Legal Compliance
NGOs may be required to submit documents including but not limited to:
- Registration Certificate
- PAN Card
- 80G Certificate
- FCRA Certificate (if applicable)
NGOs must comply with all applicable Indian laws, regulations, and government guidelines. Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination of access.
7. Suspension & Termination
Karmas reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate NGO access without prior notice if:
- Fraud, misuse, or misrepresentation is detected
- Legal or regulatory violations occur
- Complaints or disputes harm platform integrity or user trust
8. Intellectual Property
- All platform content, software, and branding remain the property of Karmas.
- NGOs may not copy, modify, reproduce, or misuse platform materials without written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
Karmas acts solely as a technology facilitator and shall not be responsible for:
- NGO operations or internal management
- Fund utilization or financial decisions
- Disputes between NGOs and donors
The Platform is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without warranties of any kind.
10. Amendments
Karmas may update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
